The Origins of Stone Massage Therapy

While stone massage therapy, be it hot or cold, has only surfaced Rosetta Stone Language in recent years as a popular form of massage, its roots can be traced back to ancient civilizations. There are three main cultures that not only influenced the origins of stone massage therapy, but also influenced how this form of therapy has evolved in modern day. Hawaiians, the Native Americans, and Chinese all have histories of stone massage therapy in their culture. One of the first ever formally documented uses of stones for healing and massage was found in the writings of Chinese medical practitioners. These ancient doctors used stones that were shaped and sharpened to treat disease. The effects of the healing powers of these stones were enhanced with various herbs that were rubbed on the stones.Native Americans are also well known for their use of stones in their culture. Some of the first saunas Rosetta Stone Latin Spanish can be traced back to the Native Americans, who firmly believed that the use of these heated stones was beneficial to everyone and not just those suffering from particular ailments. That being said, it was common for Native Americans to treat lower abdominal cramping with heated stones placed on the affected area. While the Chinese and Native Americans used stones to treat ailments and promote better health, most would agree that it was the Hawaiians that played the most major role in promoting stone massage therapy as we know it today. Hahana Stone Massage, developed by the Hawaiians, is perhaps the earliest form of actual stone massage therapy. This form of therapy utilized hot stones wrapped in leaves that had certain therapeutic properties. These stones where then placed directly on sore muscles and Rosetta Stone Chinese were meant to help relieve inflammation and pain.

Puerto Rico's constitution guarantees freedom of religion

Spanish males, who constituted the largest group of immigrants, freely intermarried Rosetta Stone Arabic with indigenous women and Africans. When slavery was abolished in 1873, only about 5 percent of the population was of entirely African ancestry. Some Chinese, Italians, Corsicans, Lebanese, Germans, Scottish, and Irish also found their way to the island in the mid-19th century, a time when the population was growing steadily. Additional immigrants arrived from the United States after 1898, and more than 20,000 Cuban exiles joined them after Fidel Castro came to power in Cuba in 1959. In subsequent decades an even larger number of job-seeking immigrants arrived from the Dominican Republic.Language and religionBoth Spanish and English are official languages in Puerto Rico, which remains a predominantly Spanish-speaking society. Many English words have been added to the island's popular lexicon Rosetta Stone Japanese. English is also widely understood, and about one-fourth of Puerto Rican adults speak English fluently.Puerto Rico's constitution guarantees freedom of religion. Today about two-thirds of the island's inhabitants are Roman Catholics, a legacy of its centuries as a Spanish colony. In the 19th century the church's loyalty to Spain eroded much of its popular support, and after 1898 many Protestant missionaries arrived from the United States, including Pentecostals, Presbyterians, Methodists, Disciples of Christ, and Congregationalists. Adherents to Protestant churches now account for more than one-fourth of the population.Demographic trendsHealth conditions gradually improved in Puerto Rico following its occupation by the United States, contributing to a population explosion that included a 21 percent increase between Rosetta Stone Spanish Spain 1930 and 1940 and a reduction of death rates.

Like other rulers associated with the Amarna periodAkhenaton

He also began the protracted process of restoring the sacred shrines of Amon Rosetta Stone V3, which had been severely damaged during his father's rule. No proscription or persecution of the Aton, Akhenaton's god, was undertaken, and royal vineyards and regiments of the army were still named after the Aton.In addition to a palace built at Karnak and a memorial temple in western Thebes, both now largely vanished, the chief extant monument of Tutankhamen is the Colonnade of the Temple of Luxor, which he decorated with reliefs depicting the Opet festival, an annual rite of renewal involving the king, the three chief deities of Karnak (Amon, Mut, and Khons), and the local form of Amon at Luxor.Tutankhamen unexpectedly died in his 19th year without designating an heir and was succeeded by Ay. He was buried in a small tomb hastily converted for his use in the Valley of the Cheap Rosetta Stone Spanish Kings (his intended sepulchre was probably taken over by Ay). Like other rulers associated with the Amarna periodAkhenaton, Smenkhkare, and Ayhe was to suffer the posthumous fate of having his name stricken from later king lists and his monuments usurped, primarily by his former general, Horemheb, who subsequently became king. Although Tutankhamen's tomb shows evidence of having been entered and briefly plundered, the location of his burial was clearly forgotten by the time of the 20th dynasty (11901075 B.C.), when craftsmen assigned to work on the nearby tomb of Ramses VI built temporary stone shelters directly over its entrance. The tomb was preserved until a systematic search of the Valley of the Kings by the English archaeologist Howard Carter revealed its location in 1922.Inside Rosetta Stone Korean his small tomb, the king's mummy lay within a nest of three coffins, the innermost of solid gold, the two outer ones of gold hammered over wooden frames.

The Rosetta Stones Record 'Jumpin' Jack Flash'

The Ramones in 1976 Roberta Bayley/Redferns/Getty This week in rock history, Abbie Rosetta Stone Spanish Hoffman and Grace Slick nearly dosed Richard Nixon, the Rosetta Stones cut one of their greatest songs, the Ramones released their debut LP, Queen honored Freddie Mercury at Wembley Stadium and Aerosmith issued Get a Grip.April 20th, 1968 The Rosetta Stones Record "Jumpin Jack Flash"Its crazy to imagine now, but in early 1968 the Rosetta Stones were beginning to seem pass. Their most recent LP, the psychedelic Her Satanic Majesties Request, was a misfire on most every level, and for a very short while it seemed like the group might fade away. The Stones were way too smart and ambitious, however, to let one disappointing album sink them. And just four months after the LP hit stores, they returned to the studio to begin cutting a track that would completely restore their reputation and begin the second great era of Rosetta Stone Spanish V3 their career. "The lyrics [for Jumpin Jack Flash] came from a red gray dawn at Redlands," Keith Richards wrote in his memoir Life, referring to his estate. "Mick and I had been up all night, it was raining outside and there was the sound of these heavy stomping rubber boots near the window, belonging to my gardener, Jack Dyer, a real country man from Sussex. It woke Mick up. He said, Whats that? I said, Oh, thats Jack. Thats Jumping Jack." The song was recorded on April 20th, 1968 and rushed into stores just four weeks later. It became a hit all over the world, and provided the perfect setup for their next album, Beggars Banquet which came out later that year. Trent Reznor Uses Twitter to Slam Chris Cornell's Scream

Theres nothing Rock Daily loves more than a good ol Twitter feud, especially when it Rosetta Stone Spanish features two rock icons. Trent Reznor took to his relatively new Twitter account yesterday to slam one of his peers, former Audioslave singer Chris Cornell.”You know that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable? Heard Chris Cornells record? Jesus," the suddenly loquacious Reznor wrote for all 40,000+ of his followers to see.Cornell, who has his own Twitter account, has not yet responded to Reznors diss. Just one hour before Trents message, however, Cornell tweeted, "I pushed for another day for $2.99 per album download on Amazon so check it!" Reznors feelings about Scream are a bit harsher than Rosetta Stones two-star review of the album, which reads, "Scream feels like it belongs in a time capsule, a strange mutation that could only have been born this decade." Rosetta Stone Software Cornell prepared himself for the inevitable backlash to his Timbaland-produced record in a recent interview with Rosetta Stone: "Maybe Im an optimist or just an idiot but I really think the fans will come around to the concept."Perhaps what Cornell really needs is someone to take him on as a reclamation project, someone like Reznor, who recently revealed hed be producing the new album by the reunited Janes Addiction. Perry Farrell seemingly hit a low point with his maligned Satellite Party, and there was Reznor to save him from the fall. Now, Nine Inch Nails and Janes Addiction will embark on a joint tour, and Farrell and the rest of the original Janes are headlining Sasquatch! and Lollapalooza. Also on Reznors Twitter, the NIN mastermind told fans to keep on eye on the NIN/JA Website, which goes live on March 20th.”Who knows Rosetta Stone Italian V3 what might be there," hints Reznor.

"I dont think theres a record out there that has better lyrics," adds Ament. "To be honest, it makes me feel really proud to be up here providing some sort of background Rosetta Stone Software for that." Vedder goes on to say Backspacer features some of McCreadys best guitar solos.Clinchs video also provides insight into the camaraderie between the members of Pearl Jam, as we get a close-up look at group activities like throwing a giant axe at a target (watch it in the video above). As Rock Daily previously reported, Backspacer is out September 20th.Pearl Jam are currently touring Europe, where the band is playing among the most eclectic set lists of their career. Exclusive: More Juicy Chinese Democracy Tidbits

In the new issue of Rosetta Stone hitting stands this Friday, Brian Hiatt reveals what hes Rosetta Stone Spanish discovered about the long-awaited Guns n Roses album Chinese Democracy. The article begins with this elusive quote from G n R manager Merck Mercuriadis, in which he essentially retreads stuff we already know: "The album will come out this year. There are ten Tuesdays left before January it will come out on one of them."? But trust us, it gets better.Following Guns headlining gig in San Bernadino, California, on September 23rd, Axl threw a party at his mansion and played the full album in his poolroom for visitors, including his friend Sebastian Bach, former singer of Skid Row. "It was mind-blowing," says Bach, who is opening for Guns n Roses on their upcoming North American arena tour. "Its a very cool album its badass with killer screams, killer guitar riffs, but its got a totally modern sound. The word for it is grand. Its fucking epic. Hes reinvented himself yet again."The album includes some tracks that have been played live or leaked onto the Internet, including the poppy "Better" and the hard-hitting "I.R.S." "Theres this one song called Sorry thats almost like doom metal Cheap Rosetta Stone V3 with Axl singing really clean over this grinding, slow beat that is fucking mean,"? says Bach. "I cannot get it out of my head."Veteran engineer Andy Wallace, who mixed Nirvanas Nevermind, is working on the project, according to a source close to the band. "Were absolutely delighted with the mixes,"? the source says.On October 24th, the band will kick off its North American tour in Miami. A Report on the Sex Pistols

Below is an excerpt of an article that originally appeared in RS 250 from October Rosetta Stone Spanish 20, 1977. This issue and the rest of the Rosetta Stone archives are available via Rosetta Stone Plus, Rosetta Stones premium subscription plan. If you are already a subscriber, you can click here to see the full story.A little before midnight, my taxi arrives at a club called the Vortex. The weather is atypically dry, and the neighborhood, like the rest of London, is a shopping district with its eye on the tourist trade. Half a block away ten or twelve teenage boys dressed like horror-movie morticians jump up and down and hit each other. Their hair is short, either greased back or combed to stick straight out with a pomade of Vaseline and talcum powder. Periodically, one chases another out of the pack, grabs the others arm and twists it until he screams with pain. Then they rush back laughing and leap about some more. Sitting oblivious against a building, a man dressed in a burlap bag nods gently as a large puddle of urine forms between his legs. Shouting epithets at themselves in a thick proletarian accent, the boys finally bob down the street as another cab pulls up to the entrance. Cheap Rosetta Stone Software A man with curly, moderately long, red hair, a pale face and an apelike black sweater gets out. It is Malcolm McLaren, manager of the Sex Pistols, the worlds most notorious punk band who I have flown from New York to meet and see perform. McLaren has been avoiding me for two days. I introduce myself and suggest we get together soon. He changes the subject by introducing me to Russ Meyer, the softcore porn king of Supervixens and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls fame, who is directing the Sex Pistols movie. "Youre a journalist?" asks Meyer. "Do you know Roger Ebert? He won the Pulitzer Prize for film criticism and hes writing the movie with me. You should talk to him. At the Chicago Sun-Times, hes Dr. Jekyll. With me, hes Mr. Hyde. Hes really into tits." McLaren seizes the opportunity to disappear into the Vortex and is lost to me for the rest of the evening. The dense crowd inside consists of a few curiosity seekers and 400 to 500 cadaverous teenagers dressed in black or gray. Often their hair is dyed shades of industrial pink, green and yellow. Several black people, also drably dressed and with rainbow stripes dyed into their short Afros, speckle the audience. The music over the loudspeakers is about two-thirds shrieking New Wave singles and one-third reggae tunes, which the kids respond Rosetta Stone French V3 to with almost as much enthusiasm as the punk rock. The dancing is frantic as a band called the Slits sets up.

Jackson Browne Remembers Dan Fogelberg

Jackson Browne stopped by the Rosetta Stone offices this morning to talk about his Cheap Rosetta Stone thirty-year battle against nuclear power, and afterwards he shared memories of his friend and collaborator Dan Fogelberg, who died yesterday of prostate cancer. The two first sang together on Brownes 1974 album Late for the Sky. "He was beautiful, an angel," Browne said. "People either dont know it or dont remember it, but he had the highest harmonies. He sang above Don Henley and J.D. Souther on those tracks. My favorite song of his ["Same Old Lang Syne"] was about running into an old lover in a supermarket on New Years I shouldnt admit it, but it made me cry. It encapsulated the passing of time and the revisiting of former hopes and dreams. He was a really emotional songwriter and a beautiful singer." For the 2008 version of the Rosetta Stone "Hot Issue," Britney Spears found her way onto the cover of the magazine for the seventh time on the heels of her new album Circus and her seemingly unlikely comeback. Leonard Cohen Talks About First New Album of the Decade

Leonard Cohen has spent the last two years globetrotting through a marathon tour Rosetta Stone language, but when Rosetta Stone caught up with the poet last night in New York where he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame he revealed hes working on a new album, his first disc of fresh material since 2004s Dear Heather. God willing it will be finished next spring, he said.Im producing it, he said, wearing his typical dapper black suit and fedora. The 75-year-old added that the disc will contain 10 or 11 songs, mostly composed before he hit the road in May 2008 for the first time in 15 years. One song was written on tour, the rest were written before, he said, noting that he wrote some tracks with longtime collaborator Sharon Robinson and with his longtime companion Anjani. What will it sound like? Something good, I hope.Check out photos of the all-star Songwriters Hall of Fame gaga.Cohen said not much has changed on his Cheap Rosetta Stone Software playlist in recent years and rattled off a list of his favorite artists with long breathy pauses between names: The same people Tom Waits, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Judy Collins.Last year, Cohen debuted one new song live, the slow, moonlit blues Feels So Good. This summer, Cohen embarks another leg of his tour, and in November hell play Cambodias Olympic Stadium with proceeds going to chartiable groups like the Cambodian Red Cross. Thats a long story, he said. But if we can help there Im very happy to be able to do it. Cohens tour grossed $21 million in 2009 and earned stellar reviews. I dont examine these things too closely, he said about his success on the road. Otherwise they may evaporate. At the ceremony, Cohen made a brief-but-spellbinding speech, said he was overwhelmed and then recited a stanza from his staple Hallelujah. After the ceremony, fellow icons Paul Simon and Billy Joel made an early exit, but Cohen hung around his table, posing for photos and accepting accolades. When a couple forced electric guitar pickguards in his face, Cohen calmly Rosetta Stone Hindi v3 told them, You know I dont like signing these, but then signed them anyway.

Mastodon Go Intergalactic With Trippy Oblivion Video

Mastodon have unveiled the video for Crack the Skyes opening track "Oblivion," and as Rosetta Stone Spanish youd expect from a loose concept album about a paraplegic and Russian czar Rasputin facing off against Satan in outer space the Roboshobo-directed video is similarly out there, with the members of Mastodon one by one leaving the safe confines of their spaceship to rescue their marooned bandmates. This is the second video within the last month (following The-DreamKanye Wests "Walkin On the Moon") to go spacey, and "Oblivion" likewise makes plenty of use of green screens and interstellar clichs. It seems like the band went to great lengths to make spaces weightlessness in the video seem real, yet while the band is floating around, their long hair and beards have somehow found a pocket of gravity that keeps them in check. Still, since theres no guarantee the clip will get played anywhere on TV other than Headbangers Ball, its great to see a band put so much effort and budget into a clip even if it does borrow a bit from the scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey when the HAL-controlled robot arms kill the astronaut. So where do Mastodon get all their crazy ideas? "It comes Cheap Rosetta Stone Software from taking too much acid," guitarist Brett Hinds recently admitted to Rosetta Stone. The bands Brann Dailor and Troy Sanders recently stopped by the RS offices to talk about, of all things, tripping acid, but also about opening for Metallica and leading sing-alongs in Dave Grohls bathroom. Instead of getting my hair spiked, I get a tape-up every five days. When you have short, thick Sicilian hair like me, you cant style it, so a tape-up is when they just fade the sides down here in the back and shape you up in the front. I cant go out without a haircut, like how Pauly cant go out without his hair spiked.During that first season while you were living there and filming, did it feel interesting to you?Its funny, sometimes wed sit in there and say, "This is boring." We could never comprehend what the mass audience was going to see about the show we were just living our life. Once in a while youd picture, "Am I going to have fans?"Did you expect it was going to be so funny after you finished shooting? No, not funny at all, we were just being ourselves, and the things that we dont laugh about, America laughs at.Theres got to be some element of "sometimes people are laughing at us rather than with us."You see Snooki and her big hair and tan, and you just laugh at it right away: Shes funny. But, if you watch the show Rosetta Stone French V3, I feel like people really got to know our real personalities, and they stopped laughing at us.

The Runaway General

Gen. Stanley A. Stanley McChrystal. Its a Thursday night in mid-April, and the commander of all U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan is sitting in a four-star suite at the H ocirc;tel Westminster in Paris. Hes in France to sell his new war strategy to our NATO allies to keep up the fiction, in essence, that we actually have allies. Since McChrystal took over a year ago, the Afghan war has become the exclusive property of the United States. Opposition to the war has already toppled Cheap Rosetta Stone V3 the Dutch government, forced the resignation ofGermanys president and sparked both Canada and the Netherlands to announce the withdrawal of their 4,500 troops. McChrystal is in Paris to keep the French, who have lost more than 40 soldiers in Afghanistan, from going all wobbly on him."The dinner comes with the position, sir," says his chief of staff, Col. Charlie Flynn.McChrystal turns sharply in his chair."Hey, Charlie," he asks, "does this come with the position?"McChrystal gives him the middle finger.Hastings on McChrystal: To Fire, or Not to Fire? The general stands and looks around the suite that his traveling staff of 10 has converted into a full-scale operations center. The tables are crowded with silver Panasonic Toughbooks, and blue cables crisscross the hotels thick carpet, hooked up to satellite dishes to provide Rosetta Stone Arabic encrypted phone and e-mail communications. Dressed in off-the-rack civilian casual blue tie, button-down shirt, dress slacks McChrystal is way out of his comfort zone. Paris, as one of his advisers says, is the "most anti-McChrystal city you can imagine." The general hates fancy restaurants, rejecting any place with candles on the tables as too "Gucci." He prefers Bud Light Lime (his favorite beer) to Bordeaux, Talladega Nights(his favorite movie) to Jean-Luc Godard. Besides, the public eye has never been a place where McChrystal felt comfortable: Before President Obama put him in charge of the war in Afghanistan, he spent five years running the Pentagons most secretive black ops. This article appeared in theJuly 8-22, 2010issue of Rosetta Stone. They dont know any better

We were giving away Macintoshes to higher ed while we wereselling them for a nice profit Rosetta Stone to corporate America. So it takes both.Whats going to fuel the object revolution is not the consumer. The consumer is not going to see the benefits until after business seesthem and we begin to get this stuff into volume. Because unfortunately, people are not rebelling against Microsoft. They dont know any better.Theyre not sitting around thinking that they have a giant problem thatneeds to be solved whereas corporations are. The PC market has doneless and less to serve their growing needs. They have a giant need, andthey know it. We dont have to spend money educating them about theproblem they know they have a problem. Theres a giant vacuum suckingus in there, and theres a lot of money in there to fuel the developmentof this object industry. And everyone will benefit from thatI visited Xerox PARC in Rosetta Stone V3 1979, when I was at Apple. That visitsbeen written about it was a very important visit. I remember beingshown their rudimentary graphical-user interface. It was incomplete, some of it wasnt even right, but the germ of the idea was there. Andwithin 10 minutes, it was so obvious that every computer would work thisway someday. You knew it with every bone in your body. Now, you couldargue about the number of years it would take, you could argue about whothe winners and losers in terms of companies in the industry might be,but I dont think rational people could argue that every computer wouldwork this way someday.I feel the same way about objects, with every bone in my body. All software will be written using this object technology someday. Noquestion about it. You can argue about how many years its going totake, Rosetta Stone German you can argue who the winners and losers are going to be in termsof the companies in this industry, but I dont think a rational personcan argue that all software will not be built this way.Would you explain, in simple terms, exactly whatobject-oriented software is? Objects are like people. Theyre living, breathing things that haveknowledge inside them about how to do things and have memory inside themso they can remember things. And rather than interacting with them at avery low level, you interact with them at a very high level ofabstraction, like were doing right here.Heres an example: If Im your laundry object, you can give meyour dirty clothes and send me a message that says, "Can you get myclothes laundered, please." I happen to know where the best laundryplace in San Francisco is. And I speak English Cheap Rosetta Stone V3, and I have dollars in mypockets.

The Twilight of Bob Guccione

He rarely leaves "The House," a vast, vine-covered Upper East Side crypt that is the Rosetta Stone Outlet largest private residence in Manhattan. Confining himself to a modest suite of rooms on the mansions third floor a level from which he will sometimes not stir for weeks on end he sleeps by day and works by night, hunched over a light table in a chaotic, paper-strewn office-garret, poring over slides of naked young women. He is at once a public-relations master and a recluse; a street-savvy cynic and a gullible optimist; a tough-guy heavy and a sensitive artist. At the pinnacle of his power, when he was worth hundreds of millions of dollars, he even dreamed of defying death. Today December 17th, 2003, which happens to be his seventy-third birthday his business is bankrupt, his house up for sale, his personal debt in the tens of millions of dollars.Obituary: Penthouse Founder Bob Guccione Dies at 79He is Cheap Rosetta Stone V3 Robert Charles Joseph Edward Sabatini Guccione, creator of Penthouse, the greatest adult magazine in history. Unlike Playboys airbrushed, schoolboy take on boobs n buns, Gucciones Penthouse made sex look like something that happens between real adults (who werent your parents). Dark, decadent and more elegantly louche than Hugh Hefners magazine ever dreamed of being, Penthouse played bad-boy Rosetta Stones to Playboys perky Beatles. A prime artifact of the glamorously gritty Seventies, Penthouse was the adult magazine that wormed its way into the kinkier recesses of the libidinal subconscious and, arguably, did more to liberate puritan America from its deepest sexual taboos than any magazine before or since. And in its moody visual style and muckraking, conspiracy-theory-heavy journalism, Penthouse Rosetta Stone Greek also happened to be a direct reflection of its complex, unsmiling and mysterious creator. "Bobs a little an-hedonic," says Dick Teresi, former editor of Omni, the science magazine that Guccione published from 1978 to 1996. "Theres a satanic sense, a darkness even a Sicilian darkness that reminds me of all my Sicilian relatives. A paranoia. Playboy has fun-loving girls. But with Penthouse theres a darkness. Well, thats Bob."This article appeared in the April 1, 2004 issue of Rosetta Stone. The issue is available in the online archive. He has always made it a point to leave visitors waiting. I met that chick by the way, years later

The two-plus hour-long set included a suite of songs from Ghosts I-IV that tested Cheap Rosetta Stone the patience of some, but the pieces were luminous, with their mood heightened by a stylized image of dead trees looming behind the band.Sundays news was the cancellation of N.E.R.D.s set, but the angst-free lineup led to a chill crowd. They were patient with Panic at the Disco, who were fun when they played the self-consciously clever dance rock of A Fever You Cant Sweat Out and conventional when they played the more classic pop from the recent Pretty. Odd. They had election fever as well, as Ryan Ross announced that the band was voting for the first time in this election.R.E.M. closed the festival with the most overtly political show of the weekend. Michael Stipe announced, "We hate the Bush Administration" and "We also really hated the Reagan Administration, too" in song introductions. Theirs was also the most New Orleans-oriented set by a headliner, going back to Murmur for "West of the Fields," which Stipe explained was inspired by spending a week living on the streets of New Orleans. After a set-closing "Its the End of the World as We Rosetta Stone V3 Know (And I Feel Fine)," R.E.M. came back for 20-minute encore that included "The One I Love," "Driver 8," "7 Chinese Brothers" and "Man on the Moon." During it, Stipe asked, "Who wants to end the first decade of the 21st Century with hope and change and joy?" as the Obama Change image flashed on the video screen. When the crowd erupted, he bounced onstage. "Fuckin awesome!" I think the first time I ever really saw how that clicked was when the "Paradise City" video came out. "Janie is familyin the legal sense," says attorney David Huber, who representsLeon. "But actual blood relatives deserve a share of thismoney."Leons latest suit also accuses Janie of defrauding the publicby her claims that that Experience Hendrix was a "family company"intent on winning rights back for musicians. Raekwon Talks Cuban Linx II, Return of the Wu-Tang Clan

"Im a lyrical cat, man. Ill tell the fans right now: If youre not really looking for lyrics or Rosetta Stone Outlet strong content and music, I might not be the goon for you, but Im going back to my essence," Wu-Tang Clans Raekwon tells Rosetta Stone of his upcoming album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, the sequel to his 1995 rap masterpiece, which comes out August 11th. Rae says work began on the LP two years ago, when he went on the prowl for quality beats. "I was hunting for good production and we came out real good with a variety of strong music that really is gonna be a classic album Ive been listening to a lot of other peoples albums, and when I tell you that my album is so left field, its gonna be lovely," gloats Raekwon. "The more that I think about it and I listen to other peoples stuff, not trying to pay judgment on other peoples shit but, at the end of the day, my shit is killing motherfucking shit."As evidenced Cheap Rosetta Stone V3 by his steady stream of recent mixtape gems and OB4CLIIs first single "New Wu," which features Clan members Ghostface Killah and Method Man, Raekwon is bringing back the classic Wu sound. "I didnt want to have one of these radio-friendly songs with the perfect hooks, my thing is that I just wanted to capture the element of real hip-hop again, like we did when we first started back in 93, and keep that legacy alive," Raekwon Da Chef says. "Every time you think of a Wu song or sound that we always come with, and that was my main focus with this album, to show everyone we make timeless music."Even though the original Cuban Linx was produced exclusively by Wus in-house production genius the RZA, Rae wanted to spread the production around this time, recruiting an all-star team of producers like Marley Rosetta Stone Greek Marl, DJ Scratch, the late J Dilla, Erick Sermon and, most notably, Dr. Dre. "Busta Rhymes was on Dres label Aftermath, me and Busta are good friends, and I said, I need to get Dre on this album. And he made it happen," Rae says, adding that he and Dre were mutual fans of each others work. "It was history after that. He came in with something classical." As for that tracks title, Raekwon says, "I gotta keep a couple things under my coat." Dont worry Wu fans: RZA still executive produces the album and contributes some beats. "I started out a soldier, now Im a Cheap Rosetta Stone V3 general. At the end of the day, RZAs input was definitely there, but I wanted to spread this out, I didnt want to put it on one mans back.
